This policy explains how Amiana Inc collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit amiana.com or contact us through it. The short version: we only collect what you choose to send us and what a web server needs to stay secure, we use it to reply to you, and we never sell it.

01Who we are

Amiana Inc (“Amiana”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a software solutions and development company headquartered in Collettsville, North Carolina, United States, with a branch office in India. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy, which applies to amiana.com (the “Site”).

02Information we collect

We collect personal information from two sources only:

  • Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company, the type of project you are enquiring about and your message.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our servers automatically record standard log data when you visit, including your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the page requested and the date and time of the request.

Please do not send us sensitive personal information (such as health, financial or government identification details) through the contact form. We do not need it to respond to an enquiry.

03How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential project with you;
  • keep reasonable business records of our correspondence;
  • protect the Site against spam, abuse and security threats, including rate-limiting form submissions by IP address; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we will not add you to a mailing list without your consent. Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and keeping the Site secure, on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on compliance with legal obligations.

04Cookies and tracking

This Site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party tracking pixels, fingerprinting or similar technologies. We do not build profiles of visitors or follow you across other websites.

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting them.

05How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our team by email through a mail server we operate ourselves.

We share personal information only:

  • with members of our team in the United States and India who need it to respond to you;
  • with the providers that host our website infrastructure, who process it only on our instructions and under obligations of confidentiality;
  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, or is necessary to protect our rights, our users or the public; and
  • as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the information remains protected by this policy.

06How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business records (for example, where an enquiry leads to a project). After that, we delete them.

Server logs are kept only as long as they are needed for security and troubleshooting, after which they are deleted or rotated out automatically.

07How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including:

  • serving the Site exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections;
  • validating and rate-limiting contact form submissions to prevent abuse;
  • restricting access to enquiries to the people who need it to do their work; and
  • keeping the systems that run the Site and our mail server up to date.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

08Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information; and
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it.

To make a request, email . We may need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

09International transfers

We operate in the United States and India, so information you send us may be accessed by our team in either country. These countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those where you live. Wherever your information is handled, we protect it as described in this policy and in line with applicable law.

10Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us at and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the way the Site works changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and significant changes will be clearly flagged on the Site.
